Valerie Mitchener

Valerie joined the Campus House staff in October of 2009 as the Administrative Assistant.  She is married to Ted Mitchener, who serves on the Campus House Board, and has 2 sons, Scott & Ryan. Scott is married to Angela and they have 1 son, Noah.  Besides spoiling her grandson, Valerie's favorite thing to do is cuddle with her 4 cats at home or go camping with her family.  Education & Experience: Valerie has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Purdue University and had completed a year of graduate work when Scott was born.  She decided motherhood was her most important calling, so she withdrew from school to be a full-time mom.  Once both boys were in school, she worked part-time jobs as a teacher's aide, a pharmacy technician,  and a registration clerk in a hospital. She and her husband attend Bethany Christian Church in Anderson, and both play handbells, sing in the choir, and help lead worship.
